AMResorts’ new happenings include a new property in Mexico (where you can find most of the hotel company’s resorts), a new wedding package for South Asian couples, and an easier way to help you keep track of your bookings and stay current with the brand.

AMResorts officially opened the doors to its 23rd luxury resort in Mexico, Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa, earlier this month. This is the 35th resort for the brand. The new property, located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone along a 650-ft. stretch of private white-sand beach, features 438 rooms and suites, 24-hour room service, and daily refreshed minibars. Guests also receive all the benefits of the brand’s Unlimited-Luxury experience including seven restaurants with six a la carte dining options, four bars and lounges, 24-hour concierge service, day and evening activity programs, access to the Explorer’s Club for kids and a Core Zone Teens Club, as well as two pools, kayaks and Hobie Cats, a fitness center, and the Dreams Spa by Pevonia.

“Cancun remains a priority for AMResorts as we look to strengthen our presence in existing markets, while extending our reach into new regions,” says Gonzalo del Peon, AMResorts’ president.

For those looking to book a destination wedding, the property features a wedding gazebo with oceanfront views and various reception spaces. For more information on the new property, visit dreamsresorts.com/sands-cancun.

Speaking about weddings, AMResorts is now offering a Shaadi wedding package at four of its properties including Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun. The package includes traditional and cultural elements, and will be coordinated by the resorts’ onsite wedding coordinators who have been certified as South Asian weddings specialists.

“In the past year, we have seen a tremendous demand for South Asian weddings at our resorts. This is not a coincidence, as the Indian wedding industry is growing at a rate of over 25 percent annually,” says Amanda Davis, romance product manager for AMResorts.

The Shaadi package features six events for up to 75 guests including a 3-hour Mehndi evening; a 4-hour welcome dinner, Sangeet, or Garba; a Baraat, offering the groom various options for his grand entrance preceding the wedding ceremony; a post ceremony 2-hour lunch; and a dinner reception. Rates start at $25,999 for the six events taking place over three days. For more information, visit sercretsresorts.com, dreamsresorts.com or nowresorts.com.
