Goway is a company of globetrotters, but also one of destination specialists, whose expertise and passion for travel is backed by an intensive training program and a vast product range covering over 100 global destinations. Each of our destination specialists has either lived or travelled extensively in the destinations they sell, so their skill as a travel professional is underpinned by first-hand experience and inside knowledge. Goway also has divisions dedicated to air and group travel, allowing us to create any kind of itinerary and assist any kind of globetrotter.
Independent travel ideas, small group trips, coach tours, cruises, family travel, active itineraries, safaris, city breaks, self-drives, and combination trips make up over 2000 ways to travel with Goway. Many of these trips are showcased in six annual brochures, each of which is uniquely dedicated to one of our destination regions. Goway can also deliver custom itineraries for globetrotters who like to plan outside the box.
50 Years of Globetrotting
Goway Travel took its first booking in 1970, via telex, in a small Toronto office. Beginning with European camping tours for the under 30s, Goway`s president and owner Bruce Hodge quickly expanded the company`s offerings to include overland trips between London and Kathmandu, expeditions across Africa, outback camping safaris in Australia, and in the 70s, camping tours for the under 30s across North America. It even acquired a small South American bus tour company, running 82-day journeys from Bogota to Rio de Janeiro for almost a decade.
While remaining privately owned by the Hodge family, Goway has since grown to employ over 350 travel specialists, working from offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Manila, or remotely across the globe. Together, we have nurtured strong relationships with habitual globetrotters, as well as industry partners including travel specialists, airlines, suppliers, and tourism boards. These relationships have helped shape Goway into not just a North American leader in travel, but a family of globetrotters passionate about sharing the discoveries that await in our wonderful world.
