Earlier this week, TAP Portugal kicked off its new nonstop service between Miami, FL, and Lisbon. According to the airline, the new 8-hour flight, which will run four times a week, will be the shortest transatlantic crossing of any carrier to Europe.
TAP’s Miami-Lisbon route will be flown with modern Airbus A330 equipment configured for business- and economy-class service. Aircrafts feature long-haul passenger comfort components such as ergonomic seats with full recline, individually controlled audio and video monitors, electronic noise-reduction headphones and onboard phones in business class.
In celebration of the new route, flash mob performers, local dancers and singers entertained travelers at Miami International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
The Miami-Lisbon service will operate in addition to the airline’s existing service between Newark and the two Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto.
