Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Your clients want an authentic experience when they travel, do they? Well, it doesn’t get much more authentic than this, especially for engaged couples looking for an unforgettable destination wedding.

Those lovebirds looking to tie the knot can now do so the Mayan way at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. The property now features a Mayan Wedding ceremony, complete with sacred blessings from a Shaman, an ocean ritual to wash away any negative energies, and a Mayan song and instrument ceremony to help join the couple’s hearts. During their wedding, couples will also experience a union of the Tzolkins—a Mayan version of a horoscope, calculated by their name and date of birth.

The property features 491 suites, each at least 1,000-sq.-ft.; seven restaurants; dedicated butler service for each guest and an 89,000-sq.-ft. spa, named Best Spa in the World by Virtuoso. The property also was ranked number two on Travel + Leisure’s top 25 World’s Best Hotels in Mexico.

Mayan wedding ceremonies start at $450, not inclusive of hotel accommodations. Reservations must be made by March 31, 2013, for events through July 30, 2014. For more information, visit velasweddings.com or e-mail gvweddings@grandvelas.com.
