The SUN and MOON Mt. Fuji Wellness Resort, or Hitsuki Club, which opened just this past spring, is ideal for clients who want to immerse themselves in traditional Japanese wellness. Located in Asagiri highland, within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park at the foot of Mt. Fuji, the resort aims to bring people closer to nature to create a healthier lifestyle.

Beyond offering stunning views of Mt. Fuji, this 7-room property—a renovated 200-year-old traditional Japanese house—offers clients locally sourced food—including fresh vegetables, dairy products and local specialties such as tea, wasabi and pink trout—yoga activities, aromatherapy massages, instructions on how to make herb water and a fir tree-based massage cream, and Japanese exercises (slow moving exercises that include traditional Japanese dance movements). There’s also a beautiful Japanese garden ideal for meditating, as well as made-to-order medicinal herbal teas and wellness programs (call for rates on programs).

The resort’s chief director Saori Goto recommends clients visit any time of the year as the area experiences all four seasons—the beautiful surroundings are, in essence, at the core of the wellness stay itself. Here, rooms with a view mean looking out at a red mountain during sunset hours, or seeing one of the world’s most stunning mountains blanketed in snow during the winter…and, of course, watching in awe as the multitude of shimmering stars envelop the property come nightfall.

No doubt your clients will feel completely removed from the outside world and in tune with nature on this 16-acre property. For more information, visit hitsuki-club.com.
