Ladera already has an excellent reputation as an idyllic honeymoon destination, but with the recent addition of the hilltop Paradise Pavilion, the resort is setting its sights on becoming one of the Caribbean’s top destination wedding venues. The 1,200-sq.-ft. facility can accommodate up to 100 and is built in the property’s signature open-air style, jutting out toward that magnificent view.
General manager Waddy Francis has been on the job just over a year, and is justifiably proud and enthusiastic about the resort and its future. “Ladera is truly an authentic Caribbean experience at the luxury level. We appeal to FIT travelers, honeymooners and families and now—with the new Paradise Pavilion—we can become a major player in the destination weddings market. The location even includes the opportunity for the bride to make a formal entrance from the adjoining bridal suite,” he points out.
He quickly adds that, “We offer probably the best resort view in the Caribbean. I challenge anyone to get a better view from a room. And remember, you are directly overlooking a UNESCO World Heritage site.”
Complementing those stunning views is a superb attention to service. From the general manager down to every staff member, the guest experience is clearly top priority at Ladera.
“We treat every guest as a VIP and we take special requests very seriously. We love to chat with our guests, but we give them the space to enjoy their privacy,” Francis promises. A stay at Ladera, he adds, is an opportunity to “experience ultimate privacy in an extraordinarily beautiful setting.”
Additionally, Francis and Ladera are firmly committed to their partnership with travel agents. “We want travel agents to know that we are efficient at paying commissions,” he states.
Room rates—Petit Piton suites from $380 a night; Hilltop Dream Suites from $715 a night—include daily breakfast and a dream pillow menu, and special all-inclusive wedding and honeymoon packages are available.
