Amadeus by Luftner Cruises is launching its largest and most luxurious river ship, Amadeus Silver, in Amsterdam for voyages starting in 2014.
The ship, which features 12 suites with walk-out exterior balconies, will sail down the Rhine, the Main and the Danube Rivers, as well as the waterways of Belgium and Holland on 4- to 15-day trips. Travelers on board the 90-cabin ship will have seven itineraries to choose from offering visits to “Old World” cities such as Amsterdam, Cologne, Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest.
In addition, the ship features an Austrian coffee shop, Cafe Vienna; an open-air lounge, the River Terrace; a 2-story fitness center; two restaurants; a sundeck with putting green; and onboard activities including folklore shows and lectures on the history of the Rhine-Main-Danube canal.
