River cruise line AMAWATERWAYS will relocate its 150-passenger MS AmaDagio to the Rhone River in Southern France beginning with the 2012 season. The ship will cruise a 7-night Lyon to Arles (or the reverse) itinerary from late March through the end of the year as part of the line’s popular Provence and Spain river cruise vacation program.

The Provence and Spain cruise and land itinerary begins with three nights in Paris, with an included sightseeing program, accommodations, available optional tours and the services of a AMAWaterways cruise manager who accompanies guests throughout the entire cruise and land program. The itinerary then continues with a transfer to Lyon via high-speed TGV train. Here, guests can enjoy a cooking demonstration prior to embarking aboard the MS AmaDagio for their 7-night cruise. Popular excursions include a visit to the Beaujolais wine region, tours of Roman ruins and overnights in the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Avignon and Arles.
