North American agents can become experts at selling Manchester and Northern England with the new Manchester Master educational program.
Geared toward agents in Canada and the U.S., the program coincides with the new air routes launching this summer from Toronto with Air Canada and seasonal summer service from Charlotte, NC, on US Airways.
“London is undoubtedly the driving force for many North American visits to the UK,” says Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester. “However, once you take London out of the equation, Manchester can make a strong case that it is the capital of England and we’re understandably keen that our U.S. and Canadian counterparts recognize this.”
The program’s modules will give agents information about the destination with vacation ideas and general knowledge, and once completed, they will become Manchester Masters. Perks include a personalized certificate of achievement, destination information, product updates, and being entered into ongoing incentive drawings.
