Club Med has announced 15 new all-inclusive resorts and renovations across the globe for 2017 and beyond, including Club Med Samoens in the French Alps, which is now open for bookings.
In addition to investing in updates to existing properties, Club Med has revealed plans for its next series of openings and enhancements following the 2016 renovation of Club Med Rio das Pedras in Mangaratiba, Brazil and the openings of Club Med Lake Paradise in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Club Med Sanya in China. This December, Club Med Samoens will make its debut in heart of the French Alps about an hour’s drive from Geneva Airport (GVA). Once complete, this family-friendly, all-inclusive ski resort will feature 420 guestrooms, two different ski domains—Le Grand Massif for beginners and Flaine for advanced alpine skiing—local fare served at every meal, and a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains.
Next summer, Club Med Cefalu is expected to reopen in Sicily, Italy. Originally discovered by Club Med in 1957, the 5-Trident Resort will feature 302 guestrooms and suites, three restaurants including a beach bar and main restaurant with a terrace view of the Bay of Cefalu, four bars, two pools and a signature Club Med Spa. In 2019, Indonesia will welcome the 350-room Club Med Lombok. Situated on a preserved Indonesian island to the east of Bali, Club Med Lombok offers an ideal beachside location for families and couples with culturally immersive activities, water and land activities such as scuba diving and surfing, and international cuisine.
“Club Med’s reputation as a trendsetter in the activity offer means we are continuously focused on extraordinary local experiences, outstanding kids’ programs and constant renovations and upgrades, allowing us to remain on top of the game,” says Xavier Mufraggi, CEO of Club Med North America, in press materials. “Active couples and multi-generational families are our focus, as well as corporate or affinity groups looking for a tailor-made getaway full of activities paired with some of the best cuisine out there.”
In addition to expanding its portfolio, Club Med is offering new 360-degree virtual reality video tours of its properties. For more information, visit clubmed.us.
