Passengers will be swept away on European Waterways’ French immersion tours. The luxury barge cruise line immerses passengers in French traditions by cruising along the Canal Du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Southern France.

Aboard the 8-passenger Anjodi, guests are catered to by an experienced crew, and enjoy amenities that include a sun deck and spa pool. A variety of excursions are available such as a winery tour and wine tasting, a visit to Narbonne, an excursion to Minerve—the world’s largest wine-growing region—and a visit to Pezena, a town known for its associations with French playwright, Moliere. While on board the Clair de Lune, a 6-passenger vessel that features a dining area and saloon, a sun deck with a spa pool, and bicycles for exploring, passengers participate in mini-expeditions including a private tasting of fine Minervois wines, a visit to Carcassonne, as well as a trip to Montolieu—known as the “Village of Books,” due to its bookstores, second-hand booksellers, illustrators, graphic artists, museums, galleries and more lining the streets. The double-decker, 8-passenger, Enchante offersa tour of Lagrasse, a town known for its literary traditions, and home to Le Banquet de Livre, or “Banquet of Books.”

During July and August, the cruise line is offering $1,000 off cabins and up to $6,000 off full boat charters for Enchante and Anjodi, as well as $5,000 off full boat charters of Clair du Lune.

European Waterways is also waiving single supplement fees on select sailings in August, with savings of up to $2,000 for solo travelers. For more information, call (877) 879-8808 or visit gobarging.com.
