We’re going global with this hotel update, featuring new and redesigned properties in the U.S., Ukraine, Japan and Colombia.
The St. Regis Aspen has recently completed a $40 million redesign project, covering both interior and exterior areas. The project includes a newly created library, featuring a fireplace, sofas and bookshelves. Meanwhile, a new Chef’s Club restaurant will open in June, featuring some of FOOD & WINE’s “Best New Chefs” to inaugurate the menu, which will change seasonally.
And to complement Chef’s Club, the property’s 15,000-sq.-ft. Remede Spa is launching a “farm to massage table” spa menu, allowing guests to enjoy a 5-course personalized spa treatment featuring an amuse bouche (revitalizing oxygen before services), appetizer (30-minute warming scalp massage), main course (90-minute deep hot stone massage), intermezzo (chilled glass of the resort’s “315” bubbly) and dessert (chocolate body facial).
Lowest standard rates through August start at $329. For more information, visit stregisaspen.com.
Opening this summer, Casa San Agustin in Cartagena, Colombia, will welcome guests to its historic property, comprised of three colonial buildings and an ancient aquaduct. The hotel’s 22 guestrooms and nine suites preserve the antique atmosphere with high wooden beamed ceilings and arched windows, while furnishings come in the form of four-poster beds and ironwork chandeliers. Added luxury comes in the form of either a balcony or terrace, and in some, private plunge pools or jacuzzis.
Guests will wine and dine at the on-property Restaurant Alma, featuring al fresco dining in the courtyard, while the bar and poolside lounge serves cocktails and tapas for a light bite. On the third floor, the hotel features a private terrace and bar to relax during the day, which transforms during the evenings into an invitation-only lounge for locals and guests.
Rates start at $500 per night. For more information, visit hotelcasasanagustin.com.
