Hunt for the Northern Lights in Finland’s Lapland on Alexander+Roberts new Finland’s Lapland – Winter itinerary. The 8-day arctic adventure is one of 19 new tours featured in the luxury tour operators’ recently published 2017-2018 catalog, which showcases a total of 134 Small Group and Private Journeys covering all seven continents. On the tour, guests enjoy a variety of guided adventures, from learning to steer their own Husky sled to hunting for the Northern Lights by reindeer sled and snowmobile. Departures for the winter itinerary are available from October 2016 through March 2017 and October 2017 through March 2018 starting at $5,199 pp dbl.

The Finland’s Lapland itinerary is also available in the summer starting at $4,299 pp dbl, featuring private log chalet accommodations with a stone fireplace and personal sauna, a guided nature hike with a Husky companion for each guest, a guided expedition on the Lemmenjoki River and a canoeing trip down the Ivalo River. Departures for the summer itinerary are available from May 2017 to August 2017.

Both the Winter and Summer adventures begin in Helsinki at the deluxe Hotel Lilla Roberts. While in the capital city, guests, along with their local guide, have the opportunity to explore the culture and cuisine of the city during a walking tour through, bustling shops and historic markets, and past the landmarks of Senate Square.
