Booking is now open for U by Uniworld, a new experiential river cruise brand from Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection offering nine, adventurous European itineraries for travelers ages 21 to 45.

Launching in April 2018, U by Uniworld will offer four 8-day itineraries, including Rolling On The Rhine, Germany’s Finest, The Danube Flow and The Seine Experience, which sail the Rhine, Main, Danube and Seine rivers, with overnights and longer stays in major cities such as Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam and Budapest. In addition, U by Uniworld offers two 5-day holiday itineraries, Dashing Through The Danube and A Merry Little Christmas Cruise, featuring a trek through a Bavarian Forest to Passau’s Christmas Market; a Viennese Taste of Christmas excursion; and an exclusive, classic Christmas concert in Austria’s Klosterneuburg Abbey.

The first two U by Uniworld ships, The A and The B, will accommodate a maximum of 120 passengers and feature an all-black exterior with open public spaces and rooftop lounges. The A and The B offer three room categories—Studio, Balcony and Suites—all with river views. Balcony rooms are ideal for pairs, while groups of friends traveling together would want to book a Studio room, which can accommodate up to three passengers. Solo travelers can take advantage of single rooms or special room share rates. Suites are suited for honeymooners and those celebrating a special occasion as they feature French balconies and a living room area.

U by Uniworld's onboard programming includes wine and paint classes, mixology classes and chef’s table cooking classes.

Onboard programming will include wine and paint classes, where guests can sip on a glass of local wine while painting the scenery before them; mixology classes taught by the master bartenders on board; and chef’s table cooking classes for guests to sample local dishes from each destination.

While onshore, guests can further immerse themselves in their destination through one of three ways—included excursions and activities, optional “U Time” outings, or a self-guided tour. Curated programming is tailored to individual travel personalities, such as foodies, culture buffs, adventure seekers, explorers, solo travelers, and romantics. For example, in Rouen, France, foodies will be able to visit local markets and shop with the ship’s chef, while culture buffs can opt for a guided bike tour of top World War II sites in Nuremberg, Germany. Solo travelers can create a custom drink to their tastes after meeting a master distiller at the world’s largest hands-on cocktail exhibit in Amsterdam, while couples can go on a horse-drawn carriage ride in Vienna. At night, “U Hosts” will be on hand to introduce guests to the local hotspots and hidden gems in each city. Experiences range from visiting a U Host’s favorite nightclub in Amsterdam to wandering along the banks of the Seine on a midnight stroll in Paris.

Rates for the 8-day itineraries on The A start at $1,699 pp dbl. Rates for The B start at $1,999 pp dbl. For more information, call (800) 883-8785 or visit ubyuniworld.com.
