A total of 279 Virtuoso honeymoon specialists from across the U.S. and Canada were surveyed in January 2016 to reveal what today’s upscale honeymooners seek for their romantic getaway. According to the survey, French Polynesia, Italy and Saint Lucia are the top three of world’s 10 most romantic destinations with Maui, South Africa, the Maldives and Mexico following closely behind. Virtuoso also named the top five resorts in many popular destination honeymoon locations. The number one picks include the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai for Hawaii; Jade Mountain in Saint Lucia for the Caribbean; the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora in French Polynesia for the South Pacific; and Le Sirenuse in Positano, Italy for Europe.
