With the recent release of Disney-Pixar’s “Brave,” movie-goers have been enjoying in-your-seat 3D adventures to explore the myths and folklore of Scotland. Always on its toes, VisitScotland has already launched a series of real life “Brave”-themed travel itineraries and experiences so that travelers can do the same.
Itineraries feature themes from the movie, such as Ancient Scotland, Myths and Legends and Scottish Castles. These itineraries can be used to help piece together an adventure specific to your client’s wishes. In addition, a selection of bookable travel experiences are also on offer, featuring tours, attractions and activities.
One of the tours available is through small-group tour operator Rabbie’s Trail Burners. The 4-day Scottish Castle Experience packages a private tour of Falkland Palace, a boat trip on Loch Leven and a tour of the castle trail of the Royal Deeside with 3-night castle style accommodations at Ardoe House Hotel and Mansfield Castle Hotel. Added perks of this tour include a trip to Scotland’s highest whisky distillery and a farewell banquet dinner—held inside a castle—on the last night of the tour.
The Scottish Castle Experience is available on Sept. 14, with rates starting at $825 pp dbl for adults and $650 per child ages 5-16. For more information and additional “Brave” travel packages and itineraries, go to visitscotland.com/brave.
