Rosewood Hotels & Resorts opened its first property in China this week. The new Rosewood Sanya is located in Hating Bay, Sanya on Hainan Island set within 40 acres of gardens overlooking the South China Sea.
This new 246-guestroom property (45 of those with a private balcony and plunge pool) also features Sense, A Rosewood Spa with a fitness studio, an indoor yoga studio, and an outdoor yoga pavilion. There are also five restaurants and lounges including a market-style seafood eatery—The Fishmonger, which opens in September; a specialty cocktail and small-bites lounge; and a poolside bar; as well as an infinity edge pool that overlooks the South China Sea. And, for those guests who appreciate art, the property also offers curated art pieces from both local and international artists throughout. In addition, there are plenty of activities offered as well such as watersports and golf.

The Essential Sanya package includes luxury accommodations with ocean views for a 1-night stay, buffet breakfast for two at East Kitchen, and sunset cocktails at HAI infinity pool bar. Guests will also recieve a welcome fruit basket, a bottle of wine, and unlimited soft drinks from the mini bar. Guests can upgrade to the next room category based on availability; package starts at $207 per night.
The Sanya Indulgence offer includes roundtrip transfers by private car from the airport and a complimentary welcome fruit platter, plus accommodations in an ocean view room. But that’s not all, guests also receive a 1-hour treatment for two at Sense, A Rosewood Spa, daily buffet breakfast for two at East Kitchen, sunset cocktails at HAI, plus a $75 credit to use at any of the property’s dining venues. Rates for a 2-night stay start at $283 per night.
