Occidental Grand Papagayo in Costa Rica will become adults-only in November.

Costa Rica will welcome its first adults-only property when the Occidental Grand Papagayo converts to an adults-only hotel on Nov. 1.

Following the success of Occidental Hotels & Resorts’ adults-only property, Royal Hideaway Playacar in Riviera Maya, and a trend in guests requesting an adults-only experience, the Occidental Grand Papagayo on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast is making the switch.

“This transformation is part of Occidental Hotels & Resorts product differentiation and business development strategy,” says Jaime Buxo, managing director of Occidental Hotels & Resorts. “Having the ability and determination to adapt within a competitive, constantly evolving market is what sets Occidental apart; to welcoming and hosting our guests with this new Occidental experience.”

As the hotel transitions to guests ages 18 and up, it will offer complimentary WiFi and complimentary drink service by the pool, in addition to its four restaurants, four bars, disco bar and daily activities including kayaking and scuba lessons.

In honor of the transition, guests will receive a second night free with the Adults Only Launch Offer for bookings now through Oct. 31, for travel Nov. 1 through April 19, 2014. Call for rates. For more information, visit occidentalhotels.com.
