Agents looking to learn more about what Guatemala has to offer can sign up for the third annual Guatemala Travel Market event in Guatemala City, taking place Oct. 1 through 4.
The Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) is sponsoring 80 international and national exhibitors to showcase their tourism offerings. The 4-day event takes place at the Hotel Vista Real and will offer agents a chance to network, get up-to-date information, and experience the country’s culture, adventure, ecotoursim and voluntourism. During the first three days, attendees will be able to go on pre-tours to visit popular tourist destinations such as Guatemala City, Tikal National Park, Lake Atitlan, Chichicastenango, Panajechel and Antigua. Business meetings and networking will take place on Oct. 4.
For wholesalers and tour operators who do not currently sell the destination and are interested in attending, rates are $250 pp, including the 4-day itinerary with admission to the Travel Mart, international and local flights, lodging, daily meals, local ground transportation, and tourist guides for pre- and post-excursions.
