After a $15 million renovation, Palacio del Inka in Cusco has joined The Luxury Collection portfolio as Starwood Hotels & Resorts expands in Peru. The property is one of three in The Luxury Collection brand in Peru, located across from the ruins of the Temple of the Sun.

“We are thrilled to welcome Palacio del Inka—a hotel that is at once a portal to the rich cultural heritage of Cusco and a gateway to experience the city’s diverse art, design and cuisine,” says Paul James, global brand leader, The Luxury Collection, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and W Hotels Worldwide. “Once reserved for backpackers, Cusco has become a ‘must’ for a new generation of luxury travelers, and we are thrilled to unlock the destination for our global guests, as only The Luxury Collection can.”

The 203-room hotel features 17 Casa de los Cuatro Bustos suites; a spa with a signature treatment called Qoricancha, a body wrap in 24-karat gold; the Rumi Bar, which has an original Incan bar at the center; and the Inti Raymi restaurant, which offers international cuisine and local ingredients.

Rates start at $315 per night for a superior room and $1,750 per night for a presidential suite. For more information, visit starwoodhotels.com.
