The Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa in Costa Rica has redesigned its Orchid Rooms to reflect the destination’s culture and verdant landscape. The resort’s new Orchid Rooms feature 376-sq.-ft. of space, one king or two queen beds with white linens, a separate living area with a sofa and views of the resort’s wildlife preserve, plus locally crafted artisan pieces, such as accent lamps inspired by a flower found in the region. Natural stone floors and skylit showers were added to the bathrooms to incorporate natural light, create a spa–like sensation and mimic the natural environment. Additionally, all of the Orchid Rooms’ furniture and finishes were remodeled to resemble the colors and textures of Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest.

The 103-guestroom luxury spa-focused property nestled on 900-acres of lush tropical gardens offers the region’s largest and only 100 percent natural network of thermal mineral springs. Its secluded location on a protected natural reserve near the Arenal Volcano National Park provides guests with relaxing spa getaway while remaining in close proximity to local rainforest attractions. The eco-friendly escape features thermal springs naturally heated by the volcano’s magma, an adults-only Shangri-La Gardens, an open-air spa, two international restaurants, one lobby lounge, and a pool with swim-up bar and waterslide. The Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa’s renovations will continue through December, with the resort’s 19 remaining Superior Rooms conversion into Orchid Rooms. For more information, visit tabacon.com.
