Earlier this year, Tribal Hotel opened in Nicaragua. This boutique property is located two blocks from the city’s central park, home to street vendors and musicians; as well as near the Granada Cathedral and Calle La Calzada—known as the “walking street” and lined with shops, bars and restaurants.

Set in a historic hacienda featuring a stylish lobby that opens to a courtyard with a pool and cabana-style lounging bed; there’s also a covered verandah surrounding the courtyard, providing an outdoor communal living and dining area for guests that’s decorated with custom pieces hand-crafted by local artisans. In the evenings, guests enjoy cocktails and tapas  in the courtyard. Accommodations include five Premium Room, each featuring a queen-size bed, private bath, and terrace; and two Junior Suites, each with a king-size bed, private bath, and a terrace with views of surrounding fauna. Rates start at $110 per night for Premium Rooms; and range from $145 to $165 for the Junior Suites. Daily breakfast is served on the guest’s terrace or poolside depending on their preference. The property also offers WiFi, laundry service, spa treatments, airport transfer, and a multi-lingual staff (fluent in Spanish, French, German, and Italian).
