Wild Planet Adventures is adding a wildlife voluntourism experience to its 14-day Ultimate Wildlife tour in Costa Rica.

On a half-day visit to the Asis Wild Animal Rescue Center, travelers will care for and feed the animals—including monkeys, sloths and toucans—and play with them, too. In addition to this experience, travelers will also meet wildlife experts and feed newborn sloths at the Aviaros Sloth Rescue Center. The itinerary also includes visits to at least eight national parks and preserves; white-water rafting; sea kayaking with dolphins; snorkeling at night in bio-luminescence off the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park in Golfito Bay; night hikes looking for nocturnal animals; cloudforest canopy tours; and visits to volcanoes, hot springs and beaches on both coasts.

Rates are $4,598 pp dbl. A 9-day tour is also available starting at $2,998 pp dbl. For more information, call (800) 990-4376 or visit wildplanetadventures.com.
