|With a fifth straight win as Best Tour Operator, Mexico and third consecutive win for Best Travel Agent Incentive Program, Apple Vacations continues to surpass expectations for agents and their clients with a|
bevy of vacation options that are both—no surprise here—affordable and fulfilling.
“Apple Vacations has what we call the ‘Apple Advantage,’” explains Apple Vacations president Tim Mullen. “We have more exclusive nonstop vacation flights to Mexico each week than any other tour operator, and deluxe, air-conditioned hotel transfers are always included in our international packages. We have been in business for more than 40 years, and in that time, we have established strong relationships with all the leading hotel chains like Iberostar, RIU and Bahia Principe, to name a few. Those strong relationships mean that we are able to give our customers the best value and service on their vacations.”
Then there is Apple’s relationship with agents, which has proved unshakable for decades.
“Apple Vacations loves travel agents. We offer our agents weekly e-mail newsletters, filling them in on all our promotions and incentives on all our products, and we have one of the largest outside sales forces in the industry,” states Mullen. “Our team visits travel agents every day. Our travel agent incentive program, Royalties, is hugely popular, and with good reason. It’s loaded with great merchandise and options for travel, free to travel agents.”
According to the Apple president, one of its most powerful agent tools is getting a facelift. “We will be unveiling a redesigned travel agent information portal in 2012 that will house our new content marketing program, giving travel agents consumer-friendly marketing materials like infographics, photos, videos and feature stories that agents can use on their blogs, websites and social media pages,” he says. “And of course, the new travel agent cafe will have the most current information about FAMs, incentives and hot deals.”
Next year also brings a slew of new options in the form of added hotels and more. “We have expanded our charter programs into new cities in 2012, now flying nonstop to Cancun from Indianapolis and Salt Lake City. We have also added more new flights in our established cities, increasing existing service to Cozumel, Ixtapa, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta,” says Mullen. “Also new this winter is our partnership with Frontier Airlines to provide a large portion of our exclusive vacation flights. We are already getting rave reviews from passengers who are loving the in-flight experience, including all leather seats, TVs in every seatback and free DirecTV.”
And while quality travel choices are an integral component for Apple, its dedication to agents goes hand-in-hand. “We remain committed to offer charter air, hotel and transfer packages on a year-round basis in markets that typically would not have the service with a generous commission structure that gives agents exclusive product to sell, and they can make money doing so,” states Mullen. “We believe that the consistency and reliability of Apple Vacations and our product is what separates us from the pack and why we continue to get these types of awards.”
