Book your clients a family-friendly vacation at any of these all-inclusive Mexican properties, where kids and parents are catered to.

Take, for example, Velas Resorts. Knowing it can be tough to raise a family by yourself—let alone take them on a vacation—the brand has launched a single parent promotion at two properties—Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

The promotion waives the standard single supplement fee for single parents who are traveling with their children, plus allows a 50 percent discount for one child.

And at both properties, kids will be kept fully occupied at the complimentary kids’ club for children ages 5 to 12. Activities include beading in the style of the Huichol Indians, baking with the pastry chef, and learning about the environment and science by planting flowers. Family activities such as clay modeling classes and yoga lessons allow parents to spend time together with their children, or they can take advantage of kids’ spa treatments and enjoy a spa day.

All-inclusive rates for one parent and one child start at $414 per night at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and $515 per night at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. A second child is welcome to stay in the same suite for an additional $87 or $99 per night, respectively. Rates include welcome amenities, roundtrip transportation, kids’ club, evening entertainment and activities. For more information, call (888) 323-4294 or visit velasresorts.com.

At Palace Resorts properties, a new Family Connections program—enabling family vacations while still providing adults the coveted quiet time of a romantic vacation—is nearly ready to debut enhancements to the kids’ club.

The Connection Zone kids’ club is kicking previous kid-friendly amenities up a notch, with a more diverse array of games, activities and lessons including tennis lessons, Spanish lessons, treasure hunts, baking classes, game nights and mini Olympics; and a kids’ club menu featuring favorites such as pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, mini burgers and fries, chicken fingers and spaghetti. For parents, the Connection Zone offers Nextel Direct walkie-talkie services, providing a direct line for families to stay in touch, as well as the option to have children dine with other kids while parents enjoy a romantic dinner alone.

Connection Zone kids’ clubs are available for children ages 4 to 12 at all family-friendly properties, including Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, Beach Palace, Cozumel Palace and Playacar Palace. Family Connections programs will be available beginning June 1. Rates vary by property. For more information, visit palaceresorts.com.

Azul Hotels by Karisma, meanwhile, is hosting its newest kid-friendly feature: a cultural program called Mini Mayans, entertaining and educating children on the local history.

The program—which has been incorporated into the daily schedule at the Azulitos Playhouse kids’ club at each property—includes play sessions such as Give the Mayans a Mano, where children learn the Mayan symbols for numerical values and fill in their own 2013 calendar of important events; Mini Mayan Musicians, where children build their own instruments from recyclable materials and put on a show for their parents; and Tiempo de Tiles, where children wear Mayan costumes and tell stories using tiles and paintings.
