Located in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the Viceroy Riviera Maya has recently debuted a new Artisanal Cocktail Coaching program that’s teaching guests what it takes to become an expert bartender.
For three hours, guests taking part in the program will receive a thorough training—including learning the characteristics of each ingredient, the techniques of blending and the perfect garnish—and a hands-on session at the bar. Guests can try their hand at making a fruit mojito, a popsicle margarita, a watermelon smash or a bloody mary. Artisanal Cocktail Coaching is $85 per guest, with availability for up to four guests at a time.
The Viceroy Riviera Maya offers 41 villas, each with private patio and plunge pool, outdoor shower and high-ceiling thatched palapa-style roof. On-property amenities include two restaurants, a Maya-inspired spa, a high-tech fitness center and a private pier where guests can enjoy spa sessions or water excursions. All-inclusive package rates start at $554 per night, which provide all meals and beverages such as domestic beers, wines by the glass and select cocktails.
