This May, a new wellness retreat, Aja Malibu, is opening in the Santa Monica Mountains in California. Said to “restore, rejuvenate, transform and reactive” guests’ “inner spark,” Aja 7-night retreats are devoted to realigning and balancing guests’ seven chakras through a luxury mind-body-spirit retreat. The 7-guestroom resort situated on 23 oceanview acres in Malibu offers a signature residential program, The Magick Process, which incorporates “deep earth wisdom” with ancient wisdom teachings from around the world. Guests at the resort enjoy a plant-based cuisine, rituals and ceremonies, and healing spa therapies utilizing bio-dynamically homegrown herbs, as well as a combination of flower, color, light, sound and crystal therapies. In the resort’s apothecary room, guests can make their own herbal golden elixirs and participate in DIY bath-body-beauty workshops. Aja Malibu’s commitment to sustainability can be seen throughout the property, from the natural reclaimed timbers and the sustainable cooling systems used in the interior to the organic sheets, towels and robes found in guestrooms. All-inclusive rates start at $10,000 pp for a 7-night stay, and include up to 28 spa treatments, all workshops and materials, food and naturopathic supplementation.
