The new True Alaska Exploration itineraries, sailing between May 10 and Sept. 7, take guests into the Alaskan wilderness for 8-, 9- or 11-day voyages. Guests can soak up the local culture on the 9-day Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn itinerary while visiting various towns, including Metlakatla, a borough that is home to the indigenous Tsimshian community; and Thorne Bay, a city once hailed as the largest logging camp in the world. Naturalists and cultural heritage guides share the area’s history and general information with guests during the tours. Onboard books on Alaska’s history, Alaska-made products and spirits, and chef-prepared dishes made with local ingredients and seafood are highlighted. Rates start at $4,519. All bookings made before Oct. 31 receive a 3 percent discount. For more information and additional itineraries, visit alaskandreamcruises.com.
