B Hotels & Resorts Expands with Three Properties

B South Beach will open in the first quarter of 2013.

South Florida-based B Hotels & Resorts, which debuted in 2011 with B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, is growing by leaps and bounds, adding three new properties to its collection in 2013: two Miami locations, B South Beach and b2 miami downtown (a new brand concept), and one Orlando location, B in the Walt Disney World Resort. Each property is located in an area that gives guests access to major Florida attractions, shopping and dining.

The new properties will, of course, feature B Hotels & Resorts’ Signature Elements, with specific sound, lighting, and scent selected for the hotel’s public spaces; inviting social areas and communal tables; complimentary high-speed Internet in public spaces and guestrooms; a state-of-the-art fitness center; 24-hour in-room dining; a full-service spa facility or intimate spa suite; and excursions and events developed to help guests explore the area.

B South Beach
Located in Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco district, B South Beach is within two blocks of the Jackie Gleason Theater, the Miami Beach Convention Center, and Lincoln Road, and offers 252 guestrooms and suites with city or ocean view, an infinity pool with private poolside cabanas, and other amenities. Continental South Beach Hotel will remain open as it is transformed into the B South Beach through a series of renovations and repositioning, launching in early 2013 as part of the B Hotels & Resorts family.

B in the Walt Disney World Resort
Opening in the fall of 2013, B in the Walt Disney World Resort will offer guests a family-friendly experience in the Downtown Disney Resort area. The B is currently the Royal Plaza, with 394 rooms located within walking distance of Downtown Disney and easily accessible to Walt Disney World and other Orlando theme parks.

The b2 brand, meanwhile, will offer guests a unique experience with full-service amenities like those at the B Hotels & Resorts, but at a more affordable price point. Whereas B Hotels are competing with four-star hotels in big cities, b2 hotels are competing with three- and 3.5-star hotels in more urban and suburban areas across the nation.

The b2 miami downtown will be the first b2 property, located in the former Continental Bayside Hotel. The 243-room property is situated near the Port of Miami, a benefit for cruise passengers, as well as near the shops and restaurants at Bayside Marketplace and the American Airlines Arena.
