Guestroom rates start at $228 per room per night. Through Dec. 20, guests who book four nights receive the fifth night free; guests who book five nights receive the sixth night free; and guests who book six nights receive the seventh night free.

Riding horses and waves is one thing, but playing with dolphins is something else entirely. But clients can do just that at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island, thanks to Dolphin Quest, an interactive dolphin encounter program that’s a perfect experience for the whole family to enjoy. Dolphin Quest’s long roster of programs allows for clients of all ages to touch, feed, play and even swim with the exotic creatures, all while learning about environmental conservation. And though most programs, like a 30-minute Dolphin Family & Friends encounter or the one-on-one Encounter Deluxe, are offered to guests ages 5 and up, the most unique activities have a strict “no grownups allowed” policy. Kids Quest, for ages 5 to 9, puts little ones face-to-face with dolphins, and adds a few games that let kids test their knowledge of the animals and the ocean. And a Twilight Adventure, for kids 5 to 12, includes a picnic beside the dolphin lagoon, time to play with the dolphins, and then a mystery hunt all across the resort.

Parents, meanwhile, can take advantage of the Kohala Spa, a full-service, Hawaii-themed facility offering treatments using local ingredients like coconut and pineapple. The spa also offers a Keiki & Teens at the Spa program, offering treatments like massage, facials, body treatments, manicures and salon services designed specifically for the 18 and under set.

The Hilton’s lineup of special offers makes the property even more appealing to families. Its Ocean Explorer Family Escape package gives kids an Ocean Explorer backpack stuffed with an underwater camera, a book of postcards, coloring book, fish guide card and more to get children excited for their stay. Daily breakfast and one glass bottom boat cruise for a family of four is also included. The offer lasts through Dec. 20, and rates start at $423 per room per night.

In recognition of Hawaii’s 50 years of statehood, the Hilton also offers a fifth night priced at $50 to clients booking four nights. The package also includes two commemorative State of Hawaii quarters, a $50 spa credit, $50 dining credit and $50 credit toward beach craft rentals. Rates start at $239, and the offer lasts through Dec. 20.
