Hawaii: Mahalo to Condo-Hotels

written by | Posted on September 1st, 2010

Clients can embark on self-guided botanical tours of indigenous plant life, enjoy bbq facilities, or take part in hula lessons, palm-frond weaving demonstrations or lei-making classes.

Another fun choice for guests: on Tuesday evenings, the children of the resort’s Napili Kai Foundation, which helps perpetuate Hawaiian culture among young generations, put on a Polynesian show that they can enjoy for $10 pp (and $5 for kids ages 6-12). On Wednesdays, they can be entertained by some of Hawaii’s most famous musicians, as Napili Kai is also host to the Grammy Award-winning Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert Series; each ticket is $45. There are several dining options onsite, as well as four swimming pools and a boutique spa.

Napili Kai has a Fifth Night Free offer through Dec. 17 that provides a complimentary fifth night to guests after every four consecutive paid nights at rack rate on selected room categories, plus a 7th Heaven special offering a sixth and seventh night free with a stay of five paid nights. Rates for an oceanfront 1-bedroom suite, which fits up to five, starts at $505 through the same date.

Last December Napili Kai saw the completion of a 20-unit, $4 million renovation of the Puna II building; next spring begins another 20-unit renovation. “Sept. 15, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the corporation and we’ll be celebrating this milestone with our 50th Anniversary contest and other promotions throughout the remainder of 2010,” adds Farnsworth.
