Staying on par with an impressive expansion schedule, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Inc. is opening its newest St. Regis Resort in Bal Harbour, Florida. Situated on the northern tip of Miami Beach, the resort—scheduled to open on Jan. 19—is located just across from swanky Bal Harbour Shops, known for designer shopping opportunities, and is just minutes away from popular South Beach and downtown Miami.
“We are eager to debut the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort to both international travelers and the local community,” says Marco Selva, general manager. “We look forward to offering our guests bespoke service and refined elegance, both befitting of the destination and true to the St. Regis legacy.”
Luxurious Living Decorated in a contemporary Art Deco style, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort will offer 214 oceanview rooms and suites along with 307 residences within three all-glass towers rising 27 stories over the white sandy beaches below. Rooms range from 650 to 2,800 sq. ft., all offering expansive private balconies with ocean views. Aside from the rooms themselves, even keycards at the St. Regis stand out. They’ll be outfitted with technology that enables elevators to take guests directly to their guestroom floor.
Exquisite Eats Internationally recognized chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is the star of the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort’s J&G Grill, a contemporary bar and grill offering up a blend of Asian and French cuisine from his restaurants around the world. Inside the restaurant will be a temperature-controlled wine vault, with room to showcase a selection of up to 2,500 bottles.
In addition to its signature restaurant, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort will have two more on-location dining facilities, Fresco, a casual grill featuring South American-influenced cuisine and oceanfront dining, and Atlantico, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and focusing on seafood.
Something for Everyone After a long day at the beach or the nearby malls, have your clients focus on onsite amenities such as the 14,000-sq.-ft. Remede Spa, with 12 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, sauna and steam room, separate men’s and women’s lounges and a high-tech fitness center with an oceanfront view.
Grown-ups are invited to drop the kids off at the St. Regis Children’s Club and visit the adults-only pool area, where they can relax in cabanas. Meanwhile, children will be entertained with interactive games and educational programs, and teens can take advantage of an innovative program offering exciting excursions around the area.
Guestrooms can be booked for dates after Jan. 31, 2012. For more information, visit stregis.com/balharbour.
