The second annual A Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando will take place Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2015. The 3-day event, hosted by Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Bros. Entertainment, will give fans a chance to experience a Q&A and autograph session with the film stars, attend special discussions and demonstrations with creative talent, and grant access to the A Celebration of Harry Potter Expo where they can enjoy the Sorting Hat experience, pose for a photo in a recreation of the Great Hall set, and celebrate their Hogswarts house pride in an interactive Pottermore exhibit.
Guests can also experience the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Vacation package guests and those with a park-to-park ticket will also get a chance to board the Hogswarts Express and travel between the King’s Cross Station and the Hogsmeade Station.
On hand during the event will be Harry Potter film talent Robbie Coltrane, who played Rubeus Hagrid; Michael Gambon, who played Howard Mollison; James and Oliver Phelps, who played twin brothers, Fred and George Weasley; and Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, as well as creative talent Paul Harris, the world’s only Wand Combat choreographer; Kazu Kibuishi, illustrator of Scholastic’s re-imagined Harry Potter book covers; and Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina of MinaLima, who developed the visual graphic style of the Harry Potter films.
Access to A Celebration of Harry Potter is included with regular theme park admission or with an annual pass. Admission to some activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis, while most will be open to all of Universal Orlando park guests.
