SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has launched a multi-park celebration to commemorate the company’s original SeaWorld Park, which opened it’s gates in March 1964 on Mission Bay in San Diego. The 18-month celebration will highlight SeaWorld experiences in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio.
During SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration Sea of Surprises, visitors will take part in new interactive experiences, shows and pathway performances, up-close animal encounters throughout the park. There will also be The SeaWorld Surprise Squad who will be treating guests with prizes every day.
SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration Sea of Surprises includes SeaWorld San Diego’s transformation of the park’s arrival experience, the opening of Explorer’s Reef, and multiple touch pools featuring shark pups, rays, and delicate cleaner fish, which connect guests with the sea. The celebration will also feature park pathways with spontaneous entertainment at each park; new shows allowing guests to celebrate the longer park hours starting this summer; Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up the Night, debuting at all three parks, including SeaWorld Orlando; and a new ski show debuting at SeaWorld San Antonio this summer.
