Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, located in South Ari Atoll—an area of the Maldives known for its excellent diving—has launched a new 3-person submarine, allowing its guests the opportunity to take daily tours of the marine life in the Indian Ocean in a dry and comfortable atmosphere.

Nemo, appropriately named for its orange with white stripes like a clown fish, is driven by a trained pilot and takes two passengers on a 30-minute ride to see the resort’s coral reefs. With three acrylic glass “pods” sticking out of the top, the submarine offers passengers 360-degree views, giving them a chance to catch a glimpse of sting rays, reef sharks, blue-striped snappers, turtles and possibly dolphins or whale sharks.

“Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has always been a great place for snorkeling and diving but guests who can’t swim have had to miss out on that experience,” says general manager Carsten Schieck. “With the arrival of our new submarine, we make this incredible underwater experience open to everyone in a way that’s very easy and comfortable—and no need to get wet!”

With the addition on Nemo, Conrad Maldives becomes the first and only resort to offer its guests a daily submarine tour. The price for one dive is $495 for two people or $280 for one person. For more information, visit conradhotels1.hilton.com.
