During his opening keynote at CES 2017, Carnival Corporation’s CEO Arnold Donald unveiled The Ocean Medallion, an interactive, wearable device that allows passengers to personalize their cruise experience. Able to be worn as a pendant on a wristband or kept in a pocket, Ocean Medallion is uploaded with guests’ information preferences prior to their cruise, allowing for expedited embarkation and keyless entry into guests’ staterooms.

Ocean Medallion is paired with Ocean Compass, a personal digital experience concierge accessible by all guests using interactive displays throughout the ship, on stateroom TVs or via guests’ own mobile devices. For example, with Ocean Compass, guests can find their way to venues around the ship; make reservations at the Lotus Spa, specialty dining restaurant and shore excursions; arrange celebrations; view photographs; learn about the destinations they will visit and activities at each port of call and more.

Carnival Corporation’s Ocean Medallion Class will debut Nov. 13, 2017, on board Regal Princess, followed by Royal Princess and Caribbean Princess in early 2018. For more information, visit princess.com.
