Crystal Cruises has unveiled plans for its collection of two Crystal river yacht vessels, which will launch in Europe late March 2017 as part of Crystal River Cruises.
The new vessels feature a yacht-like design including larger accommodations and space-to-guest ratio than any other river cruise ship, and include Crystal’s signature all-inclusive six-star service, plus a new approach to traditional river itineraries and experiences. The 70-suite luxury river yachts will feature 250-sq.-ft. guest suites with walk-in wardrobes, American king-size beds, and bathrooms with double vanities; two 500-sq.-ft. Penthouse Suites; and spacious public areas, including the Palm Court with a dance floor and a glass-domed roof, plus a fitness center and spa.
Crystal’s new river cruises feature itineraries that maximize time in port for shore-side excursions and experiences. Crystal’s itineraries will be planned to deviate from traditional river cruise routes in order to avoid the congestion of other vessels in port. Crystal River Cruises will sail along the rivers in France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria during daytime hours, allowing travelers to take in the scenery. This schedule also allows guests the opportunity to enjoy the nightlife in select destinations with overnight ports that will often feature inclusive culinary experiences ashore at Michelin-starred restaurants and local eateries, plus exclusive evening events and entertainment.
In addition, during the days spent in port, Crystal River Cruises will offer guests a variety of immersive Crystal Adventures, as well as its new shore-side program—Active Exploration Adventures. These activities will be tailored for guests who want high-intensity shore-side activities, offering guests a complimentary active excursion to explore the European landscape. Guests who choose to create their own adventure can use the many bicycles, Segways, and other active gear available on the ship for independent exploration. A luxury yacht tender will also be available for private yachting experiences and to take guests to even more secluded areas within the destination.
