MSC Cruises has launched an exclusive Wellness Experience in partnership with wellness experts Technogym across its entire fleet of ships. The personalized wellness program begins with a pre-cruise questionnaire to ascertain guests’ wellness goals, followed by an onboard one-on-one consultation with a Master Trainer to establish the wellness objectives for each guest and develop a customized program. Each guest’s cruise is customized with shore excursions, gym classes and healthy food options that are specific to their goals and needs. Additionally, guests receive a medical check-up with the MSC Doctor onboard, including a blood pressure test, electrocardiogram, and lipid panel. Guests participating in the program also have access to the mywellness app, which tracks the movement of the users and assigns them a daily movement target, in addition to featuring information on MSC Cruises’ personalized training programs and fitness class schedule, which includes Bella Barre, Hula Fit, Tai Chi, Pilates, and yoga classes.
Onboard, guests receive their choice of staterooms on the upper decks and more desirable areas of the ship, plus a wellness mat, Technogym Wellness Bag, sports clothing, a wellness themed mini-bar stocked with sports drinks and a Fitness TV channel with videos created by the experts at Technogym. For meals, program participants have access to a range of wellness menu options developed in partnership with the Technogym’s team of nutrition experts, including protein and energy drinks at the MSC Aurea Spa bar. Special onshore excursions, such as jogging around Ancient Olympia, hiking up Mount Floyen in Norway, and a triathlon in Cozumel, are available exclusively to Wellness Experience guests.
