A couple of Florida hotels are offering a chance for golfers to spend some time teeing of on the greens, complemented by some time on the state’s white-sand beaches or exploring historic sites.

Golfers can swing away with the Stay and Play Golf package while staying at the four-diamond Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine.

The package includes a round of golf on the resort’s Slammer  & Squire course or the King & Bear course per golfer; overnight accommodations in a deluxe guestroom; and a World Golf Hall of Fame Combo Ticket per golfer, which provides 2-day admission to the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame. Plus, guests receive a round on the Hall of Fame’s 18-hole putting course, a shot at the resort’s 132-yard Island Challenge Hole, a $50 PGA Tour Academy credit voucher per golfer, daily breakfast at the resort’s Villagio Italian Grille, and free range balls.

The resort provides complimentary shuttle to and from historic downtown St. Augustine, where guests can visit historic sites such as Castillo de San Marcos Fort and The Fountain of Youth, and go shopping on St. George Street. Guests can also visit the Old Town Trolley, The Old Jail, the St. Augustine History Museum, The Spanish Quarter, The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, Flagler College, Whetstone’s Chocolate Factory and Lightner Museum, and indulge in a slew of water activities.

The Stay and Play Golf package starts at $184 per room, per night for one golfer or from $259 per room, per night for two golfers, through Dec. 18. The offer isn’t valid for groups of 10 or more and black out dates may apply.

Marco Island Marriott’s Golf Getaway package allows guests to have an active getaway while also taking in the Gulf Coast’s powder-sand beaches and stunning sunsets.

The Golf Getaway package includes golf for up to two golfers including a cart at the resort course, complimentary replay (valid on day of play only, based on availability), daily breakfast for two, complimentary bag storage and range balls, and 10 percent off Golf Pro Shop purchases, plus kids get to play for free.

Rates start at $349 per night, minimum 2-night stay required; available through Dec. 31.
