RCI’s Vision of the Seas

written by | Posted on April 2nd, 2014

From updated staterooms to WiFi available from bow to stern, six new dining options and an outdoor movie screen, Royal Caribbean International’s Vision of the Seas offers a revitalized look and upgraded amenities that were first introduced on Oasis-class ships such as the Allure of the Seas.

We hopped on the Vision of the Seas for a 1-night cruise and got a chance to see up-close all the new goodies your clients can expect when booking a Caribbean island getaway on this modernized cruise ship.

This summer and early fall, Vision of the Seas will sail on a 4-night Western Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Mexico from Port Everglades (rates starting from $279 for interior staterooms), and a 5-night Western Caribbean itinerary to Key West, FL and George Town, Grand Cayman (rates starting from $349 for interior staterooms). For clients looking for a longer voyage, recommend the 9-night Southern Caribbean cruise ($829 starting rates for a balcony stateroom), departing Nov. 6 from Port Everglades, to Labadee, Haiti (read about RCI’s private resort enclave in the “VIP Havens” story in Recommend’s February issue); Willemstad, Curaçao; Aruba and Grand Cayman before docking at Port Tampa Bay.

OTHER UPGRADES

A popular trend in today’s cruise world is the intimacy of dining with the chef, so no surprise that now Vision of the Seas has its own Chef’s Table dining experience located next to its Main Dining Room. The chef and sommelier host this 5-course meal with wine pairings for $95 pp. Also new on board are the Concierge and Diamond clubs—private haven and lounge areas for select suite and Crown & Anchor Society members.

WHAT TRAVEL AGENTS ARE SAYING…

“Overall, the revitalized public areas look great. The new lighting and carpeting in the Centrum really gives that area a new energy. Carving space out of the Viking Crown to create Izumi [sushi restaurant] is a brilliant idea because the lounge has seemed
underutilized in the past. I’m also very happy to see that specialty dining has been added, since my clients expect it.”
