The 15-day Culinary Tour of Mexico visits some of the country’s most gastronomically renowned destinations, all while clients stay at some of the most enchanting and yes, luxurious hotels available. In Merida, they’ll take classes in Yucatecan cuisine while having plenty of time to explore Mayan ruins and villages while exploring the bursts of colorful produce in local markets. Guests will also partake of cooking classes and market tours here before heading to Oaxaca, another foodie’s paradise. World-famous for its local cheese, chocolate and different types of mole (clients can learn how to make the latter), Oaxaca is also a fantastic shopping Mecca, with many artisans crafting pieces in wood, pottery and textiles. Two Camino Real properties play host to guests in both Puebla and Oaxaca.
Finally, it’s off to San Miguel de Allende and a stay at Casa de Sierra Nevada. Clients booking this particular tour get private guides, tours and drivers, as well as flights from Oaxaca to Mexico City to drive to San Miguel de Allende. Culinary Tour of Mexico is priced at $10,765 pp dbl.
don’t forget the tequila Nothing’s as intrinsically Mexican as tequila—just ask Audrey Formissano, the first woman to be a certified tequilier.
