About 20 minutes away from the Inn at Loreto Bay is the Cuevas Pintas—a series of cave paintings approximately 12,000 years old. Should clients want to venture outside of the Loreto comfort zone, have them keep driving along the unpaved and uneven (but worth every bump) road to the small town of San Javier, which traverses over deep canyons and at times along the former route of the Jesuits, who came to spread their message during the late 1600s and 1700s. San Javier is home to another beautiful mission built in 1740.
