Breezes Curacao & Runaway Bay, Jamaica

written by | Posted on September 1st, 2009

Despite a rowdier feel, the Curaçao property is an inviting option for couples as well; buildings with their own quieter pools and a decidedly more grownup atmosphere offer more intimacy for those wanting family time without the need to be in the thick of things. They’ll also appreciate other amenities such as salsa and reggae dancing lessons, saxophone serenades by the main pool and the Las Vegas-style casino right on the premises. The gorgeous beach has crystal-clear waters where you can watch dozens of fish swim around your legs—and in fact, a national underwater park is just feet away. Should they want to explore the island, Breezes Curaçao—the only all-inclusive property here, incidentally—offers a complimentary twice-daily shuttle to Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where happy colors and classic structures pop in and out of sight and a “floating market” of boats from Venezuela find a spot each day with fish, fruits and vegetables.

The Curaçao property has a Kids Stay Free and Single Parent Supplement promotion for a minimum 3-night stay through Dec. 22. Children ages 2-13 can stay, play and eat for free, while the single supplement fee is waived for one-parent families.

As before, and just in time for hurricane season, SuperClubs is offering complimentary, comprehensive Guaranteed Getaways to Super-Inclusive bookings—a No Hurricane Guarantee that gets clients reimbursed for disrupted nights and a voucher for a future stay for the same number of unused nights, and a Sunshine Guarantee that provides guests with a credit voucher equal to the room value for each day that the sun does not shine, good through one year.

The standard Breezes Super-Inclusive package includes accommodations; all meals, snacks and premium brand cocktails; land and watersports activities; entertainment; and airport transfers. Tipping is not allowed at Breezes. Booth Breezes Curaçao and Runaway Bay, along with those in Negril, Rio Bueno, Trelawny, Bahamas, and Panama, are running a Fourth Night Free promo for bookings through Oct. 21 and travel between Nov. 1 and Dec. 22. Rates for Runaway Bay start at $145 pp, per night; Breezes Curaçao starts at $139 pp, per night.

starting family life off on the right foot A Caribbean wedding at Breezes is as stress-free as it can get. Couples who stay three nights or more get a free classic wedding that includes the marriage license, minister fees and affidavits, the help of a wedding planner, a decorated wedding area, cake and champagne or sparkling cider, bouquet and boutonniere, a candle-lit dinner for two, and four resort passes for off-site guests to attend that day. There is also a long list of wedding amenity add-ons at nominal fees so clients can customize their special day. At Breezes Curaçao, for instance, clients can also choose to have chocolate-covered fruits, a personal dressing assistant or a live band to add some romance to the ceremony. Government and administration fees apply for stays under seven days. Breezes also has a free honeymoon bridal registry so friends and family can contribute to portions of clients’ special getaway online, be it golf club rentals or a suite upgrade.
