The Saint Lucia Tourist Board’s Piton Awards for Travel Agents

Having enjoyed a more than 6 percent jump in visitor arrivals for 2014, a growth trend that has continued in 2015, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) hosted a mid-June Piton Awards Island Fete for top-selling North American travel agents. Collectively, the 27 award winners made $2.7 million worth of bookings. “The tourist board is so appreciative of our travel agent partners’ support,” said Tracey Warner Arnold, deputy director of tourism for SLTB. “Saint Lucia is a better place—all because of you.”

Of course, agents get help from the SLTB. All the Piton Award winners had taken the Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist (PASS) education and training program and attended SLTB presentations. Not only had this gotten them education credits and cash rewards, but also FAMs, marketing materials, and referrals from the SLTB website’s listing. Here are some images of the agents enjoying the island of Saint Lucia and its stunning accommodations.
