Contiki, the travel company specializing in destination experiences for 18-35 years olds, has announced its new Independent Insider travel style, along with 26+ new and improved itineraries and a partnership with VizEat.
The Independent Insider travel style replaces the Easy Pace travel style and focuses on flexibility and local immersion. It encourages travelers to delve deep into a destination for three nights and immerse themselves in the local culture and cuisine, while exploring all of the hidden gems like an insider. From a progressive food tour through Berlin, to a street art tour of Barcelona to a Vespa tour in Rome, each itinerary is custom-created to appeal to millennials’ cultural passions. The trips focus on Europe’s trendiest destinations for 18-35 year-olds and are designed to be flexible so that travelers can curate their experiences in line with their personal preferences and passion points. The tours range from 3-13 days and will include four cities. Travelers have the option to begin in any European city of their chosen trip, and can opt to visit one, two, three or all four of the included locations.
“Through our research, we’ve discovered there’s a segment of millennials who seek the hassle-free and social elements of group travel, yet want more flexibility and local immersion in their itineraries, and we’ve developed the new Independent Insider-styled trips grounded in this insight,” said Adam Cooper, Contiki’s president, in a press release.
Alongside the launch of the new travel style, Contiki is also rolling out 26+ new and improved European itineraries in destinations such as Nice, Copenhagen, Budapest, Mykonos, Amalfi Coast, Iceland and Ibiza. The company is also joining forces with experiential local food company VizEat in a partnership that will give Contiki travelers the opportunity to dine and socialize in the homes of locals.
“From venturing through Reykjavik, Vik, Selfoss and Skaftafell on the new Fire & Ice trip, to soaking up the sun in the Spanish seas of Ibiza, Madrid and Valencia on the Ibiza & Beyond trip, our new itineraries are culturally relevant and immersive, developed to engage and entice the modern 18-35 traveler,” said Cooper in the release.
