From playing on the grounds of a royal palace to golfing under the Canadian Rockies, we’ve found golf getaways in a variety of different scenery.
Two of Fairmont’s golf properties in the Canadian Rockies—The Fairmont Banff Springs and The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge—have opened new courses and lodgings and are celebrating by offering golf packages.
As The Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff National Park turns 125 this year, it is opening the Tunnel Nine Course this month. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage site, the 768-room hotel also features the Stanley Thompson Course, originally designed in 1928, offering views of the natural surroundings, such as Bow River, Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle.

At The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, guests can test their skills on the Stanley Thompson-designed golf course, and stay in the Stanley Thompson Signature Cabin, set to open in June. The cabin features four bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living areas, three decks with views of the golf course and mountains, and a stone fireplace.
Guests can book the Golf & Spa package, which includes two nights of accommodations, breakfast daily, two rounds of golf and a $200 spa credit per stay. Rates start at $447 per night. For more information, visit fairmont.com/jasper.
Travelers looking for a European golf escape can save 10, 20 or 25 percent on two all-inclusive hotel golf barges with PerryGolf when booked by May 31.

Meanwhile in Arizona, JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson is offering the Play Your Way package, so golfers can take advantage of the 27-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course with the $100 resort credit per day. The package, available May 16-Sept. 14, starts at $179 per night and allows guests to map out their own vacation with the credit, which can be used at any of the resort’s venues.
The courses at the Starr Pass Golf Club snake through Tucson’s mountains offering players different elevation changes and incredible views of the desert. Guests can choose from three courses: the Roadrunner Course, starting outside the resort; the Rattler Course; and the Coyote Course, set in a quieter section of the course.
