Uncharted Africa Introduces Bushmen Initiation Safari

Uncharted Africa Safari and its co-founder, Ralph Bousfield, one of Africa’s best known safari guides, is offering a Bushmen Initiation Safarithis year. Between April and September, guests will have the opportunity to witness and participate in a Bushmen ritual carried out just as it has been for nearly 30,000 years. Guests on this adventure will spend eight nights with the Bushmen (a remote settlement in the Kalahari) with the option of extending their stay to include Jack’s Camp in Botswana and a visit to the Tsodilo Hills, a place of deep spiritual and religious importance for the local people.

Ralph Bousfield and Uncharted Africa Safari guests will accompany the Ju’hoasi people as the young men in the tribe attempt to make the transition to manhood, demonstrating their survival skills and animal tracking abilities.
