There’s a bevy of news coming from Sandals Resorts on the wedding front, including the unveiling of the company’s (and the Caribbean’s) first overwater chapel and the launch of a new virtual wedding experience.
You already know the cost-saving benefits and allure of a destination wedding when pitching your clients, and now you can make the deal that much sweeter by letting them know they can get married in a unique wedding location at Sandals Grande St. Lucian on Pigeon Island. The resort’s new Overwater Serenity Wedding Chapel, located at the most southwestern point of the resort, features an open-air chapel with a glass aisle and panoramic views of Rodney Bay. The interior of the chapel is decorated with elegant seaside decor, including a river stone altar, polished with a silver leaf finish and a nature-inspired aisle lined by three glass panels.
This first-of-its-kind venue for the Caribbean can seat a maximum of 20 guests and is available for reservations upon arrival on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can book the chapel with any wedding package, such as the Beautiful Beginnings package, which comes with a fuchsia orchid bouquet and boutonniere, table for eight, centerpiece, and cake. In addition, Sandals has released a mini-commercial demonstrating the ease and convenience clients receive when planning their wedding through the company’s recently launched Sandals Virtual Wedding Planning Experience. The application is 100 percent web-based and allows for a rich face-to-face experience for both wedding planners and clients by utilizing video and audio conferencing, a chat function, a share screen, and an option to share media.
