From its pink sand beaches to its gorgeous limestone cliffs, Bermuda is truly a little slice of heaven. And besides boasting a rich history, the island offers many free activities, from historical tours to culinary delights, sure to enhance any visitor’s stay.

Sizzling Summer Activities Snorkel Park, located at the western end of Bermuda in Sandy’s parish, is the place to be on Sundays as guests can check out an eclectic mix of local Bermuda artists, performers and musicians in a beautiful beach setting.

In addition to great entertainment, there is an array of family-friendly activities such as sand castle contests, pedal boat races for the kids and other games. Snorkel Park also offers a delicious barbeque menu, cool tropical drinks and refreshments. The party goes on every Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. through Oct. 31.

Families may also enjoy taking a historic Hamilton walking tour. Join the City of Hamilton’s Town Crier, Ed Christopher, and experience Bermuda on foot while discovering unique facts about the city. Dressed in his official uniform, Ed will lead guests through the City of Hamilton’s vibrant streets as he shares stories about the history and culture of this dynamic city.

Tours depart every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from City Hall at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and will be available through Oct. 28. Please note that tours are limited to a maximum of 45 people. For culinary enthusiasts, what better way to experience Bermuda than to taste its delicious offerings first-hand?

Every Sunday through Oct. 31, guests can stop by Bermuda Craft Market at the Royal Naval Dockyard from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to sample a variety of the island’s culinary staples, including pepper jams, rum cakes, fish chowder and locally brewed beer.

Learn how to play one of Bermuda’s oldest traditions, Crown & Anchor, while enjoying complimentary beer and rum tastings at Frog & Onion Pub, also located at Royal Naval Dockyard. Win prizes, listen to local live entertainment and have a fun Bermudian experience daily from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

And no summer visit to Bermuda is complete without experiencing Bermuda Nights. Showcasing Bermuda’s best local entertainers, Bermuda Nights is the ultimate outdoor music event that offers a true Bermudian experience. Here, guests can sit under the stars and enjoy stunning water views of Hamilton Harbour while top musical entertainers perform an array of island and popular hit songs. Bermuda Nights also features a local cultural performance and provides samples of traditional Bermudian cuisines to complete your Bermudian experience.

The event takes place at Barr’s Bay Park Aug. 20, Sept. 3 & 17, and Oct. 1 & 15 from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
