For travelers who seek independent exploration of culturally rich and historic urban destinations, Collette’s new product line, Spotlights, delivers a deep-dive into some of the globe’s most celebrated places. From Florence to Beijing, these tours feature 4- to 7-night stays in 15 cities, based in a single hotel for the duration of the trip, and offer a mixed itinerary of guided travel with experienced tour managers and ample leisure time for self-exploration.
Each Spotlights tour includes authentic experiences not easily available to individual travelers. In Paris, guests take a day-trip to Epernay to visit ancient champagne cellars that date back to the 4th and 15th centuries. In Madrid, budding gourmands learn the secrets of Castilian cuisine during an interactive cooking class. And in San Antonio, adventurous types channel their inner cowboy at a dude ranch in the “Cowboy Capital of the World,” Bandera.
Spotlights tours are available for Paris, the French Riviera (Nice), Dublin, Rome, Florence, Venice, Barcelona, Madrid, London, Beijing, New York City, New Orleans, San Antonio, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
Prices vary, ranging from $999 for a 9-day tour of Beijing to $1,899 for an 8-day experience in Barcelona; land only, double occupancy. Each package includes a local guided city tour for orientation, local hosting and support, some meals and free time to explore independently. With many free afternoons and full leisure days, guests can seek advice from the experienced tour managers on destination hot spots to see and do.
Collette also announces the return of its annual Book Your Own Bonus agent incentive. Agents qualify for this promotion after their first booking and can receive incentive earnings in addition to their commission. Following their initial booking, their money starts to grow as follows: second booking earns $50, third booking earns $100, and any booking after the third receives $100 per booking. There’s no limit.
The offer is valid on new retail bookings made from Jan. 1, 2015 to March 31, 2015 for departures in 2015 on all of Collette’s product lines including Explorations, Family, Royal Horticultural Society Garden Holidays, and Spotlights.
